Coach Yuva – Founder & Head Coach, Art De Strength

With over 20 years of coaching experience, Coach Yuva is a leading sport science professional and youth strength specialist dedicated to developing strong, confident, and high-performing athletes.
He holds a Master’s in Sport Science and a Bachelor’s with Distinction in Sport & Exercise Science (UK), and has published peer-reviewed research on adolescent development with NIE–NTU Singapore. His approach combines deep scientific knowledge with practical experience across multiple sports disciplines.
Previously serving as the Head of Sports Performance at Singapore Gymnastics, Yuva played a pivotal role in designing and implementing high-level strength and conditioning programs. He continues to privately train Singapore’s national rhythmic and artistic gymnasts, supporting their performance at the highest level of competition.
Yuva has also worked closely with world champion rhythmic gymnastic coaches and Olympic athletes, curating specialised youth programs that enhance strength, flexibility, and coordination. As Singapore’s first male rhythmic gymnastics coach, he has guided athletes to success at the Youth Asian Games and World Championships.
At Art de Strength, Coach Yuva brings this elite-level expertise to every session, ensuring each young athlete benefits from evidence-based training, precise coaching, and genuine care. His mission is to help every child move with purpose, power, and poise, both in sport and in life.
Coach Yuva is highly sought after for his expert insights and recommendations in the fields of health, wellness, and fitness. His expertise has led to interviews and features across a variety of media platforms, including Channel News Asia, Vasantham Central, Oli 96.8 FM, Channel 5 News, The New Paper, Labour Beats, Zaobao, and Tamil Murasu.
In addition to his media presence, Coach Yuva has been invited to deliver Health and Fitness talks for prominent organizations such as Singapore Police Force, The Republic of Singapore Airforce, VISA, Standard Chartered Bank, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth & Sports, and the Army Half Marathon, among others. His contributions are recognized for empowering individuals and companies alike to prioritize health and achieve sustainable wellness.


Coach Shreya
BSc Sports Science and Management | E W Barker Scholar | ACE PT Certified Coach | Ballet Dancer
Shreya has over 16 years in Ballet, 7 of which were competitive where she won the IAF in 2024 and was awarded 100% scholarship to train at Tanya Pearson Academy, Australia. Furthermore, she has coached both Ballet and Taekwondo for the last 5 years, expanding her experience with performance training, injuries and conditioning as she aims to nuture the next generation of artistic athletes to be strong injury resistant.
She is currently studying for her Bachelor of Science in Sports Science and Management at NIE, NTU, where she is under the E W Barker Scholarship and focuses on physiology and biomechanics to deepen her understanding of movement and training.
As an ACE certified PT, she has the understanding of training principles and load management, to help athletes better navigate their training.

Coach Annan
National Team Gymnast | Rhythmic gymnast | Singapore Aesthetic Group Gymnastics | BSc Business and Computer Engineering
Annan is a Singapore National Team gymnast who has represented Singapore internationally in both Rhythmic Gymnastics and Aesthetic Group Gymnastics. She competed at the 2022 Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships and most recently represented Singapore at the Asian Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Championships, where her team achieved 5th place. In recognition of her dedication and achievements, she was also awarded Best Athlete of the Year in 2019.
With over 10 years of experience in gymnastics, ballet and dance, Annan has developed a strong foundation in movement, coordination, flexibility and body awareness. Beyond competition, she has performed with Wings at multiple charity events and was featured by the Singapore Tourism Board to showcase Singapore’s sporting excellence.
Over the past three years, Annan has coached children and teenagers aged 3 to 18, helping individuals of all abilities build strength, coordination, confidence and quality movement patterns. She believes that developing a strong physical foundation not only improves athletic performance but also supports long-term health, injury prevention and confidence in everyday movement.
Having previously trained under Coach Yuva, Annan is well-acquainted with the Art De Strength coaching philosophy and methodology. She combines her competitive experience with firsthand knowledge of the programme to create an encouraging training environment where clients can move better, become stronger and achieve their personal goals.

Coach Raquel
Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach | Former Rhythmic Gymnast | BSc Sports Science and Management | Sports Massage Certified
Raquel is a former rhythmic gymnast and has been coaching rhythmic gymnastics for the past five years. As an accredited coach under Singapore Gymnastics, she works with young gymnasts to develop their technique, strength, flexibility, coordination and confidence.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science and Management at Nanyang Technological University, specialising in Sport Science. Through modules such as Exercise Physiology, Experimental Biomechanics and Sport Injury, she has developed a strong understanding of human movement, physical performance and injury prevention.
Raquel is also certified in Basic Sports Massage and has experience working under physiotherapists and experienced sports trainers. By combining her experience as both a gymnast and coach with her knowledge of anatomy and sports science, she applies evidence-informed principles to her coaching.
She aims to create an encouraging and structured training environment where gymnasts can build strong physical foundations, reduce their risk of injury and progress confidently towards their personal and competitive goals.
